The Brief
The objective was to redesign a music magazine, both the cover and an article layout, that takes a unique perspective on music and digs beyond the surface.
The Solution
The cover design was driven by the idea of the “aesthetics of the auditory” and the ways in which music and musicians exist in both audible and visual spaces. The article about pop music drew on the paradox of pop feeling personal yet being mass-marketed. The design used handwritten elements to create a personal feel.
